This seminar explores the teaching and learning of Inferential Statistics from the point of view of developing students’ conceptual understanding. Throughout the seminar teachers will explore how to build on students’ prior knowledge using real-world situations, visual representations and digital technologies to understand:
- Z-scores
- Confidence intervals
- Hypothesis Testing
All attendees will receive a class set of data cards to support the teaching of inferential statistics.
Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so book early to avoid disappointment.
The Seminar will run from 9.30am-3.30pm. Tea/Coffee and lunch will be provided. Teachers are asked to bring a copy of the new Art specification and a digital device.
This seminar day will give teachers the opportunity to:
- recap on the learning that occurred in National Seminars Day 1 and Day 2.
- reflect on planning approaches in the Art classroom and explore planning for an inclusive classroom.
- investigate learning outcomes, learning intentions and success criteria and their role in planning to meet the needs and interests of all learners.
