22AUT53 ONLINE: Teaching Autistic Children: Where to start; what to prioritise; how to thrive

22AUT53 ONLINE: Teaching Autistic Children: Where to start; what to prioritise; how to thrive

In an information rich age, teachers can sometimes find themselves drowning in an over-abundance of systems and programmes all claiming to be exactly what they’re looking for.

The aim of this course is to guide teachers in navigating through this sea of confusion towards creating a simple cohesive programme that stays focused on the learning needs of the individual autistic children in their class/school, while also supporting their own development as reflective innovative practitioners in a positive and sustainable way.

It strives to reduce stress by setting up an appropriate environment from the start, both physical and emotional, that supports regulation for the child and the teacher and allows them both to thrive.

Suitable for teachers & SNAs of autistic children who seek to expand their understanding of Autism, especially autism class teachers and SETs.

This online course takes place on November 10th & 17th & 23rd & December 1st 2022.
