This comprehensive webinar is designed to help teachers and special needs assistants better understand and engage with the unique needs of autistic pupils/students while teaching/assisting them in the school environment.
Topics to be discussed will include;
Participants will learn how to choose recipes and ingredients that are suitable for autistic students, as well as how to tailor activities to the individual needs and preferences of each child/student. Through demonstrations and hands-on activities participants will gain the skills to confidently lead cooking and baking activities with their autistic students to meet the curriculum requirements.
This webinar is prepared in collaboration with Lydia Wilkins the author of ‘’The Autism Friendly Cookbook’’ and Magdalena Landziak – Special Needs Assistant & Editor of AMYGDALA. Magdalena will ask questions in relation to life skills development by neurodivergent students from the school perspective and Lydia will try to answer them.
