23AUT74 Leading an Attachment Aware School

23AUT74 Leading an Attachment Aware School

Neuroscience explains the links between early attachment experiences and learning, behaviour and ways of relating. School leaders will explore how attachment and trauma informed school practices, policies and culture can support vulnerable pupils and the adults (teachers and SNAs) working with them.

Using the SSE framework, school leaders will have resources, strategies and a planning template to develop as an attachment and trauma aware school. School leaders will have specific strategies and plans to assess and support the learning of pupils of concern, whose behaviour and ways of relating put them at risk of exclusion from learning, peer relationships or school.

This face-to-face CPD course is taking place over 2 sessions (November 13th and 20th) in Dublin West Education Centre, and is suitable for Primary and Post Primary School Leaders (any in-school management members can attend and SEN teachers/co-ordinators).

There are limited places available on this course so early booking is advisable.
