NCSE Summer Course: The Relate Model of Support

The Relate Model of Support is a comprehensive summer course aimed at giving participants an in-depth and hands-on exploration of Relate and how to apply this neurodiversity affirming model of support in school.
The course will look at understanding behaviour as communication using the bio-psycho-social model. A regulation first approach will be explored and participants will be confident in using the many tools from Relate such as recognising stressors and using practical strategies to reduce stressors that contribute to dysregulation. Behaviours of concern will be understand through a neuro-sequential and trauma informed model and participants will be confident in setting solution focused goals to support their practice in the new school year.
The course will be facilitated by Laura Duffy and Nichola Greer are NCSE Behaviour Practitioners. Both Laura and Nichola support special schools with NCSE Behaviour. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in supporting students to engage and participate to this summer course.
Before you finalise your booking please note: Where a participant has registered for more than one course, courses may only be completed consecutively rather than concurrently. All our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable. Course Fees are not transferrable to another teacher or course. Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your place on one of our courses or you are unable to attend the course, we are not in a position to refund fees.
