25AUT82 Face-to-Face: WIAT-III-T Training

Training of teachers in the administration of the WIAT - III - T. This is a hands-on face-to-face training workshop in which teachers are brought through the structure of the WIAT - III - T, its administration and scoring.

Teachers will be provided with an individual score booklet by DWESC. Participants who have the whole WIAT-III-T test kit should bring the kit on the day. Participants must also bring a pencil and an eraser with them for use on the day. 

This test is highly reliable and is the same test for literacy tests that psychologists use. Participants will be brought through various exercises such as:
1. Determining an examinee’s age
2. Start and discontinue points for a test
3. How to score tasks
4. Determining standard and percentile scores
5. How to do a running record
6. When and how to regress to earlier age material
7. How to identify weaknesses for intervention

There will be a chance for questions and a Q&A session. A support email will be made available to participants following completion of the training.

This in-person session is suitable for all Primary & Post Primary Teachers & SETs.
