25SPR84 (LL) IZAK9 in Junior Cycle Classes

IZAK9 is a maths teaching and learning resource used in classrooms all across Ireland. It was developed to make the maths curriculum more accessible to all pupils, irrespective of ability and preferred learning styles. The resource consists of 27 colourful and vibrant cubes populated with combinations of colours, numbers and shapes. These cubes are accompanied by an online suite of support material in the form of videos, lesson plans and questions. This suite also contains links to CPD events for teachers and LIVE maths events for pupils.

The device was specifically designed to help raise pupils’ attitudes to maths and engage all learners, by providing a visual, interactive shared learning environment rich in collaborative problem-solving opportunities.

This environment is highly motivating for those in Junior Cycle and this webinar showcases the profound learning opportunities available to these pupils via the use of IZAK9.
