23AUT13 Challenging Behaviour. Strategies for SNAS

This webinar is for you if;
- you work as an SNA in a primary school and you witness many forms of challenging behaviour and you are looking for new, effective strategies
- you are still in training and need skills during your work experience
- you just graduated and wonder what you would say during an interview when asked what to do if a child has a tantrum on the floor
- you don't want to hear the definition of challenging behaviour but you do want to know what strategy will help you and the child in a special class
In this webinar, Magdalena will show you a different aspect of challenging behaviour and how we can reframe the name of this behaviour to change our attitude which will help us and the children under our care. The so-called ‘challenging behaviour’ is very often presented in special classes or early intervention - this webinar will explain why such behaviours occur and what to do in such cases.
This webinar will show you what to do when on movement break or in a sensory room and you will be equipped with strategies from "The Son-Rise Program". It will help you identify triggers and underlying needs to finally share strategies for such behaviour. It will also share strategies for hidden anxiety in the classroom, defiant, tantrum and meltdowns, child out of seat, disorganised, disruptive, frustrations, inappropriate language & lying.
Magdalena will share what she's gathered about challenging behaviour during her work as an SNA for 7 years working in ASD, Early Intervention and the mainstream classroom.
This webinar is for SNAs working in primary/secondary school, SNAs in training and SNAs who just graduated/SE Teachers.
